  • Roots & Rise Retreats had a powerful mission: to help women reclaim their radiance by rooting into themselves and rising beyond emotional wounds and societal expectations. While the retreat experiences were deeply transformative, the brand itself lacked visual cohesion, symbolic meaning, and the high-end aesthetic to reflect the depth of the offering.

    The previous branding felt generic and didn’t capture the ritualistic, earthy, and feminine mysticism that was central to the retreat's purpose. The founder wanted a design system that could hold the duality of shadow and light, science and spirit, safety and wildness — while also feeling luxury-level and timeless.

  • We approached the project using a symbolic storytelling and design strategy rooted in archetype, nature, and transformation.

     

    Brand Identity: We developed a symbol + wordmark logo featuring a moth above roots, encapsulating the journey from grounded stillness to luminous becoming. The moth represents transformation, sensitivity, and intuitive growth through darkness - a powerful metaphor for emotional healing work. The roots anchor the visual system in earth wisdom and ancestral depth.

     

    Color Palette: A warm, grounded scheme: earth brown, soft ochre, sun-washed blush, and muted sage. Each hue was chosen for its emotional resonance and adaptability across print and digital.

     

    Messaging: We wrote a full brand story, tagline, and copy direction to articulate the brand’s voice: calm, sacred, powerful, and invitational.

    New retreat names, like “A Rebirth Immersion”, aligned with the brand’s emotional promise.

     

    Supporting Materials

    Designed a Welcome Guide PDF with grounding rituals, journal prompts, and travel prep

    Canva social templates for Instagram with headlines like:

    “You don’t need to escape. You need to remember.”
    “She who rests, rises.”
    “A retreat for the woman who’s ready to root down and rise whole.”
